In the future, hybrid models will appear on the assembly line of the Moskvich automobile plant. Elena Frolova, General Director of the automobile plant, told the Izvestia correspondent about this.

"Strategically, we really expect that we will definitely have hybrids. It should be noted that Atom and UMO electric vehicles are being assembled on our assembly line. Therefore, the development of cars belonging to the new energy segment, and we consider hybrids to be in this segment, is at least a continuation of some of our common strategy between Atom, UMO cars and the continuation of the M line," said Frolova.

According to Moskvich's CEO, the company has not yet decided on a strategy for launching hybrid cars, but the issue is planned to be resolved within the next year.

"We are very proud of the collaboration that we have today between the two companies. We are confident that joining forces in such a difficult matter is the right thing to do, and over the next year we will determine the most harmonious strategy on how to do this. This definitely includes the appearance of hybrid cars on the Moskvich assembly line," Frolova shared.

Earlier, on March 2, Moskvich announced the complete sets and prices for new crossovers from the M-line. So, the Moskvich M70 will cost from 2.689 million rubles, and the Moskvich M90 — from 3,855 million rubles. All cars are equipped with a package of "warm options", which includes heated front and rear seats, steering wheel, windshield and washer nozzles.
