France called for lifting sanctions from Russia after Putin's statement on gas

France needs to immediately abandon anti-Russian sanctions against the background of the escalation of the conflict around Iran in order to avoid an energy crisis. This was announced on March 5 by the leader of the French right-wing party "Patriots" Florian Philippot.

"In the midst of the energy crisis related to the war in Iran, [Russian President Vladimir] Putin proposes to immediately stop gas supplies even before the EU has time to react! The situation has changed! Let's stop these idiotic and destructive anti—Russian sanctions that benefit only the United States!" the politician wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
