North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the new destroyer Choe Hyun and got acquainted with the progress of its tests and crew training. This was reported on March 5 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

"Tests to assess the operational effectiveness of the newest destroyer, a new symbol of the maritime defense capability of our state, are proceeding according to plan with success," Kim Jong—un's words are quoted in the publication.

It is noted that on March 3-4, the head of state inspected the ship, checked the training of the sailors and observed the test voyage to assess the maneuverability and technical characteristics of the destroyer.
