The military strengthening of Ukraine meets Washington's interests. This was announced on March 4 by Elbridge Colby, the US Deputy Secretary of War for Political Affairs.
According to the politician, Ukraine's security is important for Washington. According to TASS, Colby confirmed this with words about the creation of the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) program.
"We played an important role in the development of the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) program, which is needed to sell American weapons to Europe and then from Europe to Ukraine," the US Deputy Secretary of War said.
At the same time, the deputy head of the Pentagon stressed that this is not only about Ukraine, but also about Europe as a whole.
On March 4, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova pointed to NATO's nuclear buildup against Russia. According to her, this is a hostile step that destabilizes the development of events.
