The Ministry of Industry and Trade has updated the list of recommended cars for taxis.

A list of domestically produced cars that fall under the approved parameters of the Taxi localization law has been published. This was announced on March 4 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The list includes Lada Granta, Iskra, Vesta, Aura, Largus, Niva Travel, Niva Legend. The Sollers brand is represented by the SP7 and SF1 models. The Evolve brand was included in the list with the electric vehicles i-Joy, i-Sky and the hybrid i-Space. The Voyah brand is represented by the models Free, Dream, Passion. The Moskvich brand includes models 3, 3e, 6, 8, M70, M90. Added the UMO 5 electric car.

At the moment, these models are suitable for the needs of the industry and the criteria formed by the developers of the draft law.

The ministry recalled that this list suggests the possibility of regular updates, taking into account models that will be produced in Russia under the SPIC with commitments to deepen localization.

Work on further expanding the list is already underway, the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted. The regulatory framework for the inclusion of Haval Jolion, F7, F7x and Tenet T7 models is currently being finalized. The relevant act has been submitted to the Government. The opportunity to add these cars to the register will appear after the release of the government's decision and the next update of the list.

The requirements of the law apply to cars included in regional passenger taxi registers after the date of its entry into force, and do not apply to cars that started working in taxis before that moment.
