Footage of massive power outage in Iraq published
Massive power outages continue to be recorded in Iraq, with lights out even at Baghdad International Airport. On March 4, the footage was at the disposal of Izvestia.
"The electricity was cut off at Baghdad International Airport. <...> Oh God, protect this country! This is a long shutdown," said one of the eyewitnesses.
The provided footage shows that the lights are not working on the road. The man was driving the car at the time of the recording, with lights and headlights providing minimal visibility.
The passenger noticed the complete absence of any other cars and pedestrians on the highway.
On March 4, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported a complete power outage in all provinces of Iraq. Later, the US Embassy appealed to Americans staying in that country to evacuate as soon as possible. Those who do not have such an opportunity were advised to make supplies of food, water and medicines, as well as move to a safe room with no windows.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
