Renovated school No. 1619 in Strogino will open by September 1.

Reconstruction of school No. 1619 on Tallinskaya Street in Strogino will be completed by September 1, 2026. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

According to him, after the renovation, the building will actually become new: the school will have a modern gym, updated classrooms, laboratories, public spaces and landscaped grounds.

Sobyanin noted that in addition to this facility, three more schools are being reconstructed in the Strogino area. He stressed that many educational institutions in the capital need to be updated, so now about a hundred schools are being reconstructed in the city, and it is also planned to build a new building for this educational complex.

Work at school No. 1619 began in May 2025, Moscow 24 notes. During the reconstruction, the facade and roof will be updated, utilities, windows and doors will be replaced, interior decoration will be carried out, modern equipment and furniture will be installed, and the school grounds will be landscaped. The school's space will be organized according to the "My School" program.

Schools No. 705, No. 86 and No. 69 are also being upgraded in Strogino. In total, 55 school buildings were completely reconstructed in Moscow in 2023-2025 under the My School program, and new work started in 2025 is planned to be completed in 2026, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
