Ulyanov called the discussion of Iran's nuclear program grotesque amid the crisis

Discussing the technical parameters of Iran's nuclear program against the backdrop of the crisis in the region is grotesque and a caricature. This was announced on March 4 by Mikhail Ulyanov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation in Vienna.

"Discussing Iran's compliance with any requirements regarding its nuclear program <...> is not just inappropriate, but also cowardly for such an authoritative body as the IAEA Board of Governors. This is grotesque and a caricature of real politics," Ulyanov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He stressed that the Russian side strongly condemns the aggression of the United States and Israel against Iran and the strike on the underground facility in Natanz, Iran, which is under IAEA safeguards. Such attacks on targets with protection, he said, cast doubt on the credibility of the agency.

Israel is also scaling up military operations — it has launched a ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

On March 3, the IAEA confirmed the damage to the infrastructure of the underground nuclear fuel enrichment facility in Natanz. The agency's experts analyzed current satellite photos and recorded damage in the area.

On March 2, the United States and Israel attacked Iran's Natanz nuclear facility twice. At the same time, CNN reported on the damage to the facility on March 3.
