On March 4, the Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador to Ankara. This was reported to RIA Novosti by an unnamed senior official in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

According to the source, it concerned the incident with the Iranian missile.

On the same day, the Turkish Defense Ministry said that a ballistic missile, presumably launched from Iran, was destroyed in Turkish airspace for the first time since the beginning of the conflict in the Middle East.

"The Iranian ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was informed of our reaction and concern over the incident," the agency's source said.

According to the Turkish Ministry of Defense, no one was killed or injured in the incident with the Iranian missile. After the fall of fragments of ammunition on the territory of the country, the Turkish presidential administration declared its readiness to repel any attack on the republic against the background of the escalation around Iran and to hold the necessary consultations with NATO.

On the same day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a missile attack on militant targets in Iraqi Kurdistan. According to the IRGC's press service, several members of the groups were killed and wounded in the attack.
