Chekunkov announced his desire to increase the loan on the Far Eastern mortgage
The Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic plans to present proposals at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) to increase the size of preferential mortgage loans in the region. This was announced on March 4 by the head of the department Alexey Chekunkov.
"Of course, we are working on this [on increasing preferential mortgage loans]. The initial target was 6 million rubles, and at launch it allowed for the purchase of about 75 square meters of space on average, taking into account the initial payment," the minister said at a meeting of the Federation Council during the government hour on the topic "On strategic directions for the development of the Far East."
He pointed out that at the moment the target is 9 million rubles, but the average room size has decreased to 54 square meters. m. Chekunkov added that this year the agency will have to carry out this work with the Ministry of Finance.
In addition, in addition to working on expanding credit conditions, doctors, teachers and veterans of a special military operation have already been added to the category of recipients of Far Eastern mortgages.
On January 22, Chekunkov announced that the Far Eastern and Arctic Mortgage program was going to be extended to the secondary market in localities where new housing had not been built for the past 20 years. The program allows you to get a housing loan at a rate of 2% per annum and is valid from 2019 for the Far East and from 2023 for the Arctic.
