Iran's sudden response to the US and Israeli attacks on the country has caused confusion among US military planners. This was reported by the publication Strategic Culture (SC).

"Analysts were surprised by the speed of the Iranian reaction. <… > Iran has launched a series of simultaneous strikes against military installations in the Middle East. The US bases were hit by missiles and drones in coordinated actions aimed at saturating defense systems and reducing interception capabilities," the material says.

According to the newspaper, the Israeli and American sides believed that Tehran would respond to such attacks on its territories with restraint, as well as in a measured manner, with a possible postponement of retaliatory strikes for a "balanced decision."

In addition, analysts were surprised by the speed of Iran's reaction. Unlike the events of the previous attacks on Iran, this time the country's response was "immediate and multifaceted."
