"The most popular video is probably about pizza, where we discussed which is better: one pizza with a diameter of 30 centimeters or two pizzas with a diameter of 14 centimeters," Zemskov said.

"Education has long gone beyond school and university classrooms, and the list of nominees confirms this. There are 112 names and projects on this year's shortlist: from scientists to bloggers and from polar explorers to diplomats," said Kirill Solodkov, a correspondent for Izvestia.
The Atomic Lesson from Rosatom is not just physics, but an immersion in the profession. Dictation of Victory is perhaps the most massive historical exam in the world. And the Teach Us project is a network of hospital schools for seriously ill children, where teachers are both psychologists and some magicians.
"In addition to studying itself, it is very important to inspire these children, and believe me, inspiration can only be through education and knowledge," said Sergey Sharikov, project manager of the Russian hospital schools "Teach Us".
And this constellation of enlighteners ignites thousands of new talents. Natalia Popova's project "Dispersal" brought together schoolchildren and students across the country. And the reality show "Interns" has become a factory of stars, only instead of a stage there are fields and farms.
Students try their hand at business, and the country receives motivated personnel for the agricultural industry.
"Translate scientific knowledge into real—life technologies, and then Russia will prove its status as the greatest power every day," said Natalia Popova, Deputy General Director of Innopraktika Research Institute.
Some of the laureates are very young — Alena Varlashova, a schoolgirl, came up with how to clean oil pollution with the help of bacteria. Others, like Fyodor Konyukhov, have devoted their entire lives to discovering new horizons. The foreign educator of the year was the editor-in-chief of the Italian edition of International Reporters, war correspondent Andrea Lucidi, who has been working in Donbass since 2022 and, despite harassment at home, shows the world what Western media prefer not to notice.
"After my first report from Donbass, I became a victim of special attention from the police and the border guard service," Luchidi said.
For every laureate, education is not a job, but a vocation.
"To convey a belief, faith, or dream, you need to look eye to eye, and there is no other way to convey it. Therefore, mentors and educators are people who first of all show their personal example," said Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Russia.
In his telegram on the occasion of the award ceremony, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the experience, talent and dedication of the Znanie project participants serve as a brilliant example of how to achieve success in school and work. The Head of State also thanked all the activists of the programs of the Russian Society Znanie, noting their sincere dedication to mentoring.
