In schools in the Moscow region, the bells will be replaced by music by Russian composers

In March, traditional bells will be replaced by music by Russian composers in Moscow Region schools. The program is being implemented as part of the Melodies Instead of Bells project and is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the Bolshoi Theater on March 8.

The online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, with reference to the regional Ministry of Education, clarifies that the project of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has been implemented in the region since 2024. A selection of works is dedicated to memorable dates in Russia and the topics of classes "Conversations about important things."

In March, during recess, schoolchildren will hear the overture from the opera Ruslan and Lyudmila, Fly Away on the Wings of the Wind from the opera Prince Igor, Dance of the Little Swans from the ballet Swan Lake, and How to Cross the Bridge from the opera Eugene Onegin.

Melodies performed by the winners of the All-Russian Instrumental and Fine Art Competition "Melodies instead of Bells", which was held in 2025, will also be performed in schools.

At the end of January, it was reported that in the Moscow region in 2026 they intend to allocate 135 billion rubles for the construction and overhaul of social infrastructure facilities. We are talking about schools and kindergartens, polyclinics and hospitals, sports facilities and cultural institutions. Funds for their construction and renovation will be allocated within the framework of the relevant state program. 48 billion rubles are provided for the development of medical infrastructure. It is planned to build several new facilities and modernize a number of existing ones.
