Six more of the most modern Russian trains, Moscow—2026, will enter the Zamoskvoretskaya line of the Moscow metro. They are currently being tested, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry.

"The Moscow Metro is the No. 1 train upgrade among the subways of Europe and America. Today, 48 wagons of the most modern and technologically advanced Moscow-2026 series run along the Zamoskvoretskaya line. The trains consist of domestic components and are assembled in Russia. On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the metro will receive 700 cars in the next two years, including to complete the renovation on the Zamoskvoretskaya line. Passengers' trips will become even more comfortable," Liksutov said.

Before the trains can carry passengers, specialists carry out a comprehensive inspection of the equipment: undercarriage, carriage, carriage parts, check and adjust the operation of sliding doors. They also check dozens of parameters, including the safety and reliability of the train on the line, smooth running on the rails, lighting and vibration in the cabin, and the length of the braking distance. In order for a train to run on the line, it must travel 300 km without any comments. If any deviations are found during the run-in, they will be eliminated and the checks will begin anew.

The Zamoskvoretskaya metro line is one of the most sought—after. On working days, passengers make more than 800,000 trips per day on it. Today, 48 wagons of the Moscow-2026 series run along the green line. Each new train can accommodate up to 1.5 thousand passengers.
