The competition for the best project of the city anthem was announced in Murmansk

The best anthem project will be chosen in Murmansk for the 110th anniversary of the city. The decree on holding the competition was signed by the acting head of Murmansk Elena Shirshova.

Applications for participation will be accepted from March 5. Summing up the results is scheduled for the period from April 15 to April 30. Anyone can send an application with a competitive work, and attach to it an audio recording in mp3 format, words, a musical score of the anthem in text format, and a link to place files on a cloud disk with open access.

The words of the anthem should express love for Murmansk, reflect its beauty and uniqueness, and rich history. In addition, they should be easy to learn and should not contain political conjuncture. For the performance, the author can involve professional vocalists accompanied by any musical instruments, use a professional arrangement.

The organizing committee of the competition will be headed by Deputy Mayor Elena Shirshova, and among its members will be representatives of cultural institutions and an honorary citizen of the city. The prize fund of the contest is 100 thousand rubles, writes the Bi-port news agency.

Earlier it was reported about the appearance of a new commemorative date in the Murmansk region. October 21 was declared the Day of creation of the Murmansk Regional Council of Trade Unions. This is stated in the draft law, which was discussed by deputies of the regional Duma at a meeting of the relevant committee.
