The Russian Ambassador to Israel said there was no data on casualties among Russians.
There was no information about casualties or injured Russians in Israel after the escalation around Iran. This was stated on March 4 by Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov.
"No, we don't have such data. Neither the official Israeli authorities nor our relatives have informed us about such cases," he said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel.
Viktorov added that the diplomatic mission also monitors media reports.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on March 2 that the number of applications to the diplomatic mission from Russians who are in the Middle East is growing. Zakharova explained that by the end of the day on March 1, about 1.4 thousand people had applied to the Russian Embassy in the UAE, and more than 6 thousand citizens had applied to the Consulate General in Dubai. Three additional telephones are available for communication with them. In Israel, the hotline has received more than 300 calls since February 28.
