In the Eveno-Bytantaysky district of Yakutia, rescuers are eliminating the consequences of an accident involving a fuel tanker. This was announced on March 4 by the Republican rescue service in its Telegram channel.

As a result of the overturning of a car carrying 12 cubic meters of diesel fuel, a spill of petroleum products occurred. The incident occurred 30 km from the village of Batagai-Alita.

"On March 4, at 12:12 (06:12 Moscow time), information was received that a tanker truck carrying 12 cubic meters of diesel fuel overturned 30 km from the village of Batagai-Alita. <...> At 13:30 (07:30 Moscow time), the dispatcher reported that the decision of the Emergency Department had been made to involve rescuers from the Yakutia Rescue Service to eliminate the consequences of the oil spill. The volume of the spill is being clarified," the ministry said in a statement.

A group of three rescuers, as well as specialists from JSC Sakhaenergo, immediately went to the emergency site.

On January 12, 80 tons of gasoline were spilled at an oil depot in the Murmansk region. The gasoline supply was promptly stopped, and the leaking oil product was localized within the industrial site and captured by special facilities.
