The Iranian military destroyed ten tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on March 4 by the Deputy commander of the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, Mohammad Akbarzadeh.

"Given the IRGC Navy's repeated warnings that the Strait of Hormuz is unsafe, more than 10 oil tankers that ignored these warnings were hit by various rocket shells and burned down," Fars news agency quoted him as saying in a Telegram channel.
