The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has deployed several groups of Special Operations Forces (SDF) and foreign mercenaries to the area of the village of Korenek, Sumy region. This was reported on March 4 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"In an attempt to contain the advance of our attack aircraft in the Shostka district, the enemy deployed several groups from the 140th MTR center and foreign mercenaries to the area of the village of Korenek," RIA Novosti quoted the text of the message.

According to him, the command hopes that the deployment of elite troops should help increase the motivation of territorial defense soldiers.
