A retired general associated with UFO theories has gone missing in the United States.

A retired general of the Air Force has gone missing in the US state of New Mexico United States William Neil McCausland, who headed research laboratories that, according to conspiracy theories, are associated with the study of UFOs. This was reported on March 2 by the British newspaper Daily Mail (DM).

It is noted that the 68-year-old man was last seen in the morning in the city of Albuquerque. After that, it was not possible to establish contact with him. During his career, McCausland headed the Phillips Research Center and the United States Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.

"Some UFO enthusiasts associate these objects with secret research on advanced aerospace technologies and unexplained phenomena, although officials say they focus on national security issues and experimental defense projects," the publication says.
