CNN has learned about the CIA's intention to arm the Kurdish opposition for an uprising in Iran

The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is preparing a plan to arm the Kurdish opposition forces to foment an anti-government uprising in Iran. This was reported on March 3 by CNN, citing sources.

It is noted that the administration of US President Donald Trump is working with the Iranian opposition and Kurdish groups in Iran. The possible provision of military support from the United States to anti-government groups was discussed.

"Iranian Kurdish armed groups number thousands of fighters operating along the Iran-Iraq border, mainly in Iraqi Kurdistan," the publication says.
