Those responsible for the attack on a school in Iran, which killed 165 girls, will be punished as war criminals. This was announced on March 4 by Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali.

"According to the Fourth Geneva Convention and the First Additional Protocol, ignoring the principle of separation between military and civilian objectives, non-compliance with the principle of proportionality and failure to take precautionary measures make this attack a war crime that will entail international criminal liability for its organizers and perpetrators," he told TASS.

The diplomat stressed that the strike was a clear violation of international humanitarian law.
