Children's playroom opened in Lugansk hospital
On March 4, a playroom for young patients was opened in the Luhansk City Children's Hospital under the project of the Popular Front and the Charitable Foundation for Children of Donbass, established by the ROSSIYA Joint-Stock Bank.
"A standard style has been developed for the project, suggesting the design of rooms specifically for children. The walls are decorated with cartoon characters. The visual elements of the heroes of Russian fairy tales are used, reflecting the culture of our country. The most important thing for us is the feedback from the children themselves. We see that they like these rooms," said Kristina Fedoseeva, director of the Charity Foundation for Children of Donbass.
The space is organized taking into account the emotional needs of children undergoing treatment. Here you can draw, read, play and relax from medical procedures, feeling the warmth of home. The walls are painted by Lugansk artists in a warm patriotic color scheme, the room has modern furniture, game and educational sections, books. On the opening day, puppet theater artists performed for the patients.
"In these rooms, children can stay in bright, colorful conditions before seeing a doctor and worry less. They draw, watch cartoons, and play. And then they go to the doctor in a good mood," said Alyona Balanova, a representative of the Ministry of Health of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR).
In total, 15 such premises are planned to be opened in the LPR. The project is also being implemented in the DPR, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
In December last year, the 12th children's room in the LPR was opened in the Alchevsk children's polyclinic. The initiative to create children's rooms operates in medical institutions of the LPR, the DPR, as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
