Sergunina spoke about the program of Moscow cultural venues for March 8
More than 100 cultural venues in the capital have prepared a program for International Women's Day. From March 5 to March 9, citizens are invited to concerts, master classes, film screenings and excursions. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.
"Cultural institutions have prepared about 220 events. Muscovites will be able to listen to lectures about outstanding women scientists, go on thematic excursions and watch film classics on big screens," Natalia Sergunina noted.
On March 8, flowers will be presented to visitors in the Hermitage Garden, Vorontsovo Manor, Krasnaya Presnya and Severnoye Tushino parks, as well as in Tagansky, Izmailovsky and Lianozovsky parks.
On March 6, romances and arias from operas and operettas by famous composers will be performed in the Pushkin Library-Reading Room. On the same day, creative ensembles with vocal, dance and theatrical performances will perform at the Zelenograd Cultural Center.
On March 6, the Soviet melodrama "Women" will be shown in the multifunctional Gorky Hall at Gorky Film Studio. On March 8, the Moscow State Defense Museum will show the film "Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha", organize workshops for children, guided tours and quizzes about women who participated in the Great Patriotic War. On the same day, the Museum of Cosmonautics will talk about the contribution of women to space exploration and conduct a thematic quest. A series of lectures "Famous Muscovite Women: Charity, Entrepreneurship, cinema Art" is starting at the Museum of Moscow, and an excursion about female images in the artist's work has been prepared at the Ilya Glazunov Gallery.
Tours of the territory at VDNH will tell about the prototypes of sculptures at the Druzhba Narodov fountain, and at the Slovo Museum of Slavic Writing they will tell about the influence of women on the spread of literacy. The Atom Museum will host a festival with laboratory classes, a concert and guided tours dedicated to women scientists in the nuclear industry. Creative workshops are waiting for children at the "Urban Farm".
