Sergunina spoke about the development of the Moscow Youth project
In the six years since the launch of the Moscow Youth project, over 7,000 events have been held for boys and girls: from creative contests to career forums. This was told by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
"The way the project develops is determined by the youth themselves. Here, the guys find support in implementing a variety of ideas: from creating an aggregator of relevant vacancies to recording their own songs and performing them in front of a wide audience. Over 3.5 thousand such initiatives have been implemented in six years," Sergunina said.
For example, at the initiative of young artists, the Walls city graffiti contest has been organized for the last three years. The winners are given the opportunity to paint some engineering facilities in the capital. In addition, at the suggestion of one of the project participants, a series of intellectual games for students was held.
As part of the project, young citizens visit places of military glory and communicate with veterans and active military personnel. For example, meetings of the Moscow City of Heroes club are held in universities and colleges. They tell the children what it means to be a patriot, why it is important to know history and honor traditions.
In the summer of 2025 and in the winter of 2026, creative camp shifts took place at the Moskino Film Park. 800 children joined them. The program included master classes, lectures by experts, and practical lessons. During the classes, we studied various vocal styles, the art of arrangement, and the basics of choreography.
Thanks to the idea of one of the participants, a section with vacancies for novice specialists appeared on the Youth of Moscow portal. There you can, in particular, learn about internships in the Moscow government and IT companies.
