Lavrov and the Omani Foreign Minister discussed the situation around Iran by phone

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Omani counterpart Badr Bin Hamad Al-Busaidi discussed the situation around Iran during a telephone conversation. The relevant information was published on the official website of the Russian diplomatic mission on March 3.

"The foreign ministers discussed the situation around Iran. A position was voiced in favor of an early cessation of any hostilities and the return of the situation to a political and diplomatic settlement," the statement said.

The sides also expressed their willingness to promote a peaceful settlement of the conflict based on international law, and noted the need to take into account the interests of all States in the region.
