Geely has found a way to make the Atlas crossover more accessible

The Geely Atlas crossover in Russia has a new engine with a volume of 1.5 liters and a capacity of 147 hp, according to a press release from the Chinese brand on March 3.

Front-wheel drive crossovers are equipped with a new powertrain with a seven-speed robotic transmission. The engine develops 147 hp and 270 Nm. The average consumption is 6.8 liters per 100 km. It is also used on Geely Coolray and Geely Cityray models. Previously, Atlas with front-wheel drive was equipped with a two-liter engine (200 hp) in combination with a "robot". In addition, the crossover is available with the same all-wheel drive engine and an automatic transmission.

A crossover with a 1.5 engine will be the most affordable version of Atlas — 3 million 450 thousand rubles. Previously, prices for this model started at 3.7 million rubles.

The front-wheel drive version is available in a single luxury package with LED optics, 19-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, panoramic roof, parking sensors and an all-round viewing system, adaptive cruise control. The seats are upholstered in dark blue eco-leather with light gray inserts, and the multimedia system with a 13.2-inch screen is equipped with an iOS-based smartphone wireless connection function. Atlas with a 2.0 engine and all-wheel drive in the same configuration will cost more than 300 thousand rubles more expensive.

On February 19, it became known that the first Volga cars will be available at official dealerships in the third quarter of 2026. The line will include models in the D-SUV, C-SUV and D-sedan classes, which will be produced at the plant in Nizhny Novgorod, where previously Skoda and Volkswagen cars were produced. It is assumed that these models are based on Geely cars already known in the Russian Federation — Atlas, Monjaro and Preface, respectively.
