Clinical psychologist Daria Salnikova, in an interview with Radio 1 on Tuesday, March 3, explained the impact of the phrase "I was not chosen" on a person's self-esteem.

The expert noted that people often do not notice how the wording affects the perception of reality. According to her, the expression "I was not chosen" reinforces a passive position and dependence on external evaluation, which is why self-esteem begins to be based on salary, approval or attention from others. At the same time, such confirmations are unstable, and their absence causes resentment, anger, and a sense of one's own inadequacy.

The expert explained that such a reaction resembles a childish attitude, whereas in adulthood the responsibility for one's condition lies with the person himself. It is important not to get stuck in accusations, but to make a choice — to discuss the problem, change behavior, or get out of the situation. Instead of saying "I was not chosen," she recommended the wording "I choose not to stay where I feel bad."

Earlier, clinical psychologist Anastasia Cardiakos told how to raise self-esteem and not be jealous. Cardiakos noted that, for example, if a person is not confident in himself, self-esteem can be raised through actions that he will be proud of. She recommended setting small goals throughout the day and achieving them, starting to devote more time to yourself, and looking better for yourself rather than for your partner.

On February 27, psychologist Sergey Lang noted that lazy people can succeed before workaholics due to the ability to allocate resources wisely. According to him, excessive work capacity can lead to professional burnout and general exhaustion by the age of 35-40, notes 360.ru .

On February 26, HR expert Yulia Tsygankova stated that more than 30% of Russians experience chronic stress at work. According to her, according to research, only 20% of employees openly oppose the aggression and abuse of management, writes NSN.

At the same time, Evgenia Gankina, director of the Roskachestvo Organizational Development Department, said that the Labor Code of the Russian Federation does not explicitly prohibit or allow sleeping or spending the night at the workplace, it all depends on the specific circumstances. In particular, spending the night on the territory of the employer may also be legal if it is related to the work regime, writes "Moscow 24".

Last summer, psychologist Maria Odintsovo warned that the assessment for behavior, especially low, and the subjectivity of criteria can undermine a teenager's self-esteem. Instead of motivation for correction, it can cause protest and a sense of injustice. In addition, she added that it is important for a teacher to take into account the age characteristics of adolescents, as well as distinguish between systematic violations of rules and one-time disruptions, the Moscow City News agency notes.
