A college teacher in the Yaroslavl Region was fined 100,000 rubles for LGBT propaganda (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) while displaying the movement's flag at a presentation. This was announced on March 3 by the press secretary of the regional court Olga Kozlova.

"The fact of the distribution of graphic images related to the promotion of non—traditional sexual relations has been revealed. <...> In court, the teacher explained that the presentation was shown at a class hour dedicated to Tolerance Day, and took the presentation from open sources," RIA Novosti quoted Kozlova as saying.
