AvtoVAZ spoke about the prospects of supplying Lada cars to the UAE
Lada cars are imported to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in lots, not daily, so the current situation does not affect the work in any way. On March 3, the press service of AVTOVAZ told Izvestia about this.
Lada cars appeared on the site of one of the car dealers in Dubai at the end of 2024. Moreover, Pearl Motors, which became the official distributor of Lada in the UAE, specialized in the sale and maintenance of rare premium class cars.
In April 2025, AvtoVAZ held an international conference of export partners in Dubai, where it presented key areas for the development of the Lada brand in foreign markets. The business part of the conference was held at the Lada dealership. AvtoVAZ considered Dubai as a potential base for re-exporting cars to other markets. At the end of 2025, the official website was launched and the first batch of UAE vehicles was delivered. In addition, AvtoVAZ intended to start assembling Lada cars in Iran.
In 2025, 20.7 thousand Lada cars were exported. In particular, deliveries of cars to Venezuela, Libya, Egypt and Abkhazia have begun. In addition, the certification process for Lada cars in Vietnam has been completed, and new dealerships have opened in Belarus, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Yemen. Due to this, it is planned to increase the volume of export shipments to 30 thousand cars in 2026.
Earlier, on March 2, it became known that automakers in the Russian Federation began to rename car configurations due to the entry into force of a law that prohibits the use of foreign names. The changes appeared on the official websites of all automakers. If the brand names are usually patented, then the complete sets are rewritten in Russian. The basic version of the Lada Iskra is no longer called Comfort, but "Comfort", the top—end version is "Techno" instead of Techno.
