On the same day, during a strike on Beirut, the Israeli army eliminated a high-ranking representative of the Quds Force (a special unit of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), who was responsible for strengthening the military potential of the Hezbollah movement. On the same day, the IDF occupied several control positions on the Lebanese side of the border. The army explained that they are working to create an additional level of security for residents of Northern Israel.
