Truck traffic will be restricted for a month in Irkutsk

Seasonal restrictions on truck traffic will be introduced in Irkutsk for one month. Such measures are being taken to preserve roads.

The restrictions apply to vehicles with an axle load exceeding 6 tons. IrkutskMedia news agency writes about this. Workers will install information boards and prohibition signs in the areas where the ban will be in effect.

The ban will be in effect from April 15 to May 15. It does not apply to international cargo transportation, passenger transportation by buses, transportation of goods necessary to eliminate the consequences of emergencies, as well as transportation of food, medicines, and fuel and lubricants.

In Krasnoyarsk, truck traffic on the Korkinsky Bridge, which is also known as the 777, was restricted for five months. Inconveniences are associated with the inspection of an engineering structure.
