The Russian army has hit airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which were used to launch long-range drones. This was announced on March 3 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from which long-range unmanned aerial vehicles were launched," the ministry said in a statement.

Energy and port infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine were also affected.

Over the past day, aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Federation have attacked airfields based on long-range drones, energy facilities and ports working for the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.

The locations of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel and foreign mercenaries were also hit. During this time, the air defense forces destroyed 12 guided aerial bombs and 136 aircraft-type drones.

The day before, it was reported that 172 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed at night by the air defense forces over the territory of Russia. It was noted that the largest number of drones — 67 — was eliminated over the Black Sea.
