A new hotel and an educational cluster will be built on Sakhalin with the support of the PSB.

PSB and Sakhalin Oblast will jointly implement plans for the construction of a five-star hotel and the creation of an educational cluster. Agreements on large-scale infrastructure projects in the region were signed by the bank's Chairman Peter Fradkov and Governor Valery Limarenko.

As noted in the press service of the PSB, the agreements consolidated the intentions of the parties reached during the recent meeting in Moscow.

The 125-room hotel is planned to be built in the "Valley of Tourists" on the territory of the sports and tourism complex "Mountain Air". The main advantage will be the direct access to the ski slopes. The hotel will have a restaurant, a conference center, wellness and lounge areas.

Another important area of cooperation will be the construction of an educational cluster in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The area of the educational space will be 25 thousand square meters. m. 1.8 thousand people will be able to stay in the cluster at the same time.

According to Fradkov, the implementation of the agreements will contribute to the long-term socio-economic growth of the region. "The new facilities will not only increase the tourist attractiveness of Sakhalin, but also ensure a stable inflow of tax revenues to the regional budget, which, in turn, will allow additional funds to be allocated to solve socially significant problems," the head of the bank emphasized.

The Governor of the Sakhalin Region noted that the partnership with the PSB is of strategic importance. "One of the key joint projects is a modern hotel complex in the Mountain Air. Our ski resort has already established itself as the best in the Far East, and every year there are more and more tourists. Therefore, further development of infrastructure is our primary task," Limarenko said.

The PSB and the Sakhalin Region also signed an agreement on the bank's support for projects of socio-economic development of the region aimed at improving the economic, investment and social climate.
