Founder of Meta (organization recognized as extremist in Russia) Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan have acquired an estate on the exclusive Indian Creek Island, known as the "bunker of billionaires." This was reported by Bloomberg on March 3.

The deal amounted to $170 million, which, according to sources, was an absolute record for Miami-Dade County. The previous high was recorded in 2025, when developer Vlad Doronin sold a mansion on Star Island for $120 million.

The object of the transaction at 7 Indian Creek Island Road was a site with a partially completed mansion, previously owned by renowned plastic surgeon Aaron Rollins and his wife Marin. The sellers were represented by Jill and Danny Herzberg from the Jills-Zeder Group

"To date, this is the most expensive deal in Miami's history, it seems exceptional, but judging by other properties and offers on the market, I think we will see a large number of transactions worth over $ 100 million," the agency quoted representatives of real estate sellers as saying.

On December 11 last year, American Time magazine recognized developers who create and train artificial intelligence (AI) as the "Person of the Year". The cover, decorated in the style of a "Lunch on a Skyscraper" photo, features entrepreneurs Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, CEO of AMD Lisa Su and Google-owned AI company DeepMind Demis Hassabis, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI Sam Altman, Anthropic Dario Amodei, and ImageNet founder Faye-Faye Lee.
