Currently, there are no signs of stopping shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, contrary to the statements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). This was reported on March 2 by Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin on the social network X with reference to the US Central Command (CENTCOM).

"The US Central Command declares that the Strait of Hormuz is not closed, despite the statement of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Iran is not patrolling the strait, and so far there are no signs of mining," she wrote.

The correspondent noted that 80% of Iran's oil goes to China. In this regard, possible mining of the Strait would damage, first of all, the Islamic Republic itself, as well as its key partner in the PRC.
