The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran will strike at any vessel that tries to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on March 2 by the adviser to the corps commander, Major General Ibrahim Jabari.

"We will not allow a drop of oil to leave the region. The Strait of Hormuz is closed, and Iran will strike at any vessel that tries to pass through it," he said.
