The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the death of a man in a fire in the Pskov region.

A check has been organized in the Dnovsky district of the Pskov region on the death of a man in a fire in an apartment building. This is reported by the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire occurred on the morning of February 27 in the village of Dachnoye. Rescuers found the body of a man born in 1966 with traces of exposure to high temperatures inside a burnt-out apartment building.

The preliminary cause of the fire in the UK is called careless handling of fire. Upon the death of a person, the agency organized an inspection, and a number of examinations were appointed, the Pskov News Feed writes. Based on the results of the inspection, a decision will be made to institute a criminal case.

On the evening of February 23, a fire occurred in the village of Kolpino in the Nevelsky district of the region. As a result, a 64-year-old man died. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was a short circuit of the electrical network.
