The grand opening of the new Marathon Burger restaurant in Long Beach, associated with the legacy of the deceased rapper Nipsey Hussle, ended with a shooting. This was reported on March 1 by the New York Post (NYP).

The restaurant was opened on Sunday, March 1, with the participation of the Broadus family, including rapper Snoop Dogg, who also attended the ceremony. He was greeted by numerous fans, the actor cut the ribbon and was even seen cooking burgers.

The shooting occurred at about 15:32 (04:32 Moscow time) in the area of the intersection of Third Street and Pine Avenue, when a large crowd gathered for the event. According to the local police department, one person was killed and several were injured.

The motives and circumstances of the incident are still being established. Officials said that nothing was known about the suspect either.
