Israeli fighter jets attacked Hezbollah targets in the suburb of Burj al-Barajna in southern Lebanon. This was announced on March 2 by the country's civil defense service.

According to the source, at least two fighters entered from the sea and began to strike the suburb. In total, they struck at least five times.

On the same day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an offensive operation against the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon. The chief of the Israeli General Staff, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, announced many "long combat days."

On the night of the same day, the IDF began attacking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. These measures, as explained, were taken in response to the attacks against Israel. After a while, Israeli army spokesman Avihai Adrai called on residents of 53 Lebanese villages in southern and eastern Lebanon to evacuate. Later, information about the first victims began to appear: the Sabereen News portal learned about three Lebanese women killed by Israeli strikes, and the Quds News Network (QNN) publication learned about seven members of the same family killed.
