The UAE has suffered the most attacks from Iran due to the US military bases located in the country, allied relations with Israel and disputed islands in the Strait of Hormuz. This opinion was shared by military expert Yuri Knutov in a conversation with Izvestia on March 2.

According to the expert, the bases of the American Air Force (Air Force) and naval forces (Navy), as well as the headquarters of the CIA, are located in the UAE. At this stage, Iran is seeking to hit American military installations that are less covered by air defenses and are located closest.

Another reason for the large-scale attacks on the UAE, according to Knutov, was the allied relations with the United States and Israel, enshrined in the Abraham Agreements. In addition, Iran and the UAE dispute the ownership of three islands in the Strait of Hormuz, he recalled.
