The situation at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) remains difficult due to the problems with external power supply in this area. This was announced on Monday, March 2, by the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi.

"The situation remains extremely difficult, especially at the nuclear power plant, where work is underway to restore a 330 kV backup extraterrestrial power supply," he said in a statement on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

It also notes that representatives of the IAEA are on the territory of all the nearest nuclear power plants, where they monitor the safety and reliability of facilities.

On February 27, Rosatom's Director General announced that a local silence regime had been established at the nuclear power plant, and repair of the Ferroalloy-1 power transmission line had begun. It was noted that the ceasefire near the facility was achieved with the participation of Russia and with the support of the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs of Russia, as well as with the assistance of the Russian Guard. A few days earlier, he announced the deterioration of the situation in Energodar— the satellite city of the NPP.
