IDF confirms elimination of Hezbollah intelligence chief in Beirut
On March 2, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of the head of Hezbollah intelligence, Hussein Makled, in Beirut.
"The IDF confirms that as a result of a precision strike in Beirut last night (Sunday), terrorist Hussein Makled, who served as head of the Hezbollah intelligence directorate, was eliminated," the army's Telegram channel said.
On the same day, the IDF carried out a targeted strike on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, as a result of which a key representative of the movement was eliminated.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on March 2 that the Hezbollah movement claimed responsibility for the shelling of the Israeli neighborhood of Haifa on February 28. In response to Hezbollah's attacks on Israeli territory, the IDF attacked the organization's facilities in Lebanon on the same day.
