Three American F-15E fighter jets were shot down on March 1 over Kuwait by friendly fire. This was announced on March 2 by the US Central Command.

"On March 1, three American F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets, performing tasks as part of Operation Epic Fury, were shot down over Kuwait as a result, apparently, of a friendly fire incident," the publication says on the command's website.
