Iran's Permanent Representative to the IAEA in Vienna, Reza Najafi, said that the Natanz nuclear facility was attacked during the US and Israeli strikes on Iran. This was reported on March 2 by the Reuters news agency.

"Yesterday, they attacked Iran's peaceful protected nuclear facilities again," the agency quoted Najafi as saying.

Natanz is a key facility of the Iranian nuclear program, where centrifuges for uranium enrichment are located. Previously, this facility had already become the target of sabotage and cyber attacks, which Tehran attributed to Israel.

On the same day, the IAEA announced the absence of radiological changes after the strikes on Iran. It was noted that the representatives of the IAEA maintain constant contact with the countries of the region and continue to monitor the development of the situation.

Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran on the morning of February 28. Also, the American leader Donald Trump announced the beginning of a US military operation against Iran.
