Izvestia became the most quoted newspaper in January.

Following the results of the first month of 2026, Izvestia newspaper has once again confirmed its status as the leader among the print media in Russia. This is evidenced by the data of the Medialogia company.

The citation index (CI) of the publication in January was 1701.84. In second place was the newspaper Kommersant (CI: 1462.24), and in third place was Rossiyskaya Gazeta (CI: 642.59).

The most quoted materials in Izvestia were reports that Russia was decommissioning Tu-204 and Il-96 aircraft, and that Russian colleges wanted to limit the number of paid places. In addition, Izvestia reported on the tragedy at the Novokuznetsk maternity hospital.
