The international cooperation between the UK and Ukraine in countering Iranian drones is consistent with the NATO doctrine and involves the active involvement of allies. This was stated to Izvestia on March 2 by former special forces officer, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk.

"Despite all the rhetoric of peacefulness, these countries fully operate according to the doctrine of the United States of America and NATO. Britain, as an active member of the alliance, is considered the second largest power after Washington. NATO will provide assistance in the transfer of experts on drones," he said.

According to the expert, specialists with real combat experience can play a key role in such cooperation.

"Who can provide such protection? Only experts who have been on the battlefield who understand how drones are used and how to deal with them. In addition, Iran uses Russian tactics during a special military operation," Matviychuk said.

He also drew attention to the US request for the possibility of using British military bases. In his opinion, this indicates a high burden on American resources and the need to involve allies. Matviychuk added that the consumption of ammunition remains significant, so it is planned to store weapons and, above all, ammunition at these bases to continue military operations.

Speaking about the possible risks, the military expert said that the UK could face retaliatory actions.

"For the UK, Iran will strike at all bases and within reach of British military infrastructure," he said.

Separately, the expert pointed out the possible consequences for Ukraine and said that the redistribution of weapons could affect the volume of supplies. According to him, since the Ukrainian side uses American-made missiles, which are currently in demand in another direction, their flow may decrease, which will lead to an increasing shortage.

On March 1, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that Britain was going to involve "Ukrainian specialists" to help the Persian Gulf countries shoot down Iranian drones. The Gulf states have threatened Iran with a response in the context of a common security system. The six Arabian monarchies confirmed their determination to take the necessary steps to ensure their own security, including countering military aggression from Tehran.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation in Iran. The American leader Donald Trump called her goal "the protection of the American people." Israel and the United States have carried out numerous attacks on military and civilian targets in Iran, including a school in the city of Minab.

In response, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4 and attacked American military bases in the Middle East, as well as Israeli cities. The UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and other Persian Gulf countries were affected by the Iranian attacks.

On March 1, the US President held a telephone conversation with the leaders of Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. It was clarified that the president was informed about the shooting in Texas that occurred on the same day.
