Sobyanin summed up the results of passing the TRP standards among schoolchildren and students

More than 240,000 schoolchildren and college students take the TRP standards in Moscow every year, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said on his channel at the IACH. In 2025, almost 60,000 participants were awarded gold badges.

Since the beginning of the school year, GTO festivals have been held in all Moscow schools and colleges, Sobyanin said. "Each class can compete for the title of the best in its parallel. At the same time, any student has a chance to set a personal record," the mayor emphasized.

Successful completion of the standards and obtaining the TRP badge helps graduates earn additional points upon admission to universities. Some universities add up to 10 points to the results of the Unified State Exam for this, Sobyanin noted.

TRP standards can be passed at the sites of more than 330 metropolitan schools and colleges, as well as at the Moscow Center for Educational Practices. The tests depend on the age and gender of the participant, there is no fee for passing the standards. Schoolchildren and students test their fitness level in running different distances, pull-ups, push-ups, flexibility and coordination exercises. There are more than 30 thousand sports clubs and sections in the capital, in which about 350 thousand children are engaged, the mayor said. According to him, football remains the most popular sport, and many schoolchildren also choose chess, tag rugby and esports.

The TRP complex turns 95 years old on March 11. Since its revival in 2014, more than 1.1 million people have participated in meeting the standards.
