Vitu Project CEO arrested for embezzlement of 83.7 million from Rosgvardiya
Sergey Arkhipov, CEO of Vitu Project, was arrested in the case of embezzlement of 83.7 million rubles from the Russian Guard. This was reported on March 2 by TASS with reference to court materials.
"To choose a preventive measure in the form of detention until April 15 in relation to S. V. Arkhipov, a suspect under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale)," the document says.
The investigation believes that in 2023 Arkhipov entered into a criminal conspiracy with representatives of the Rosgvardiya construction Department and employees of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "9th Center of the customer-developer of the Russian National Guard Troops" (9th CHZ). The group's goal was to steal budget funds allocated for the construction and reconstruction of departmental facilities. The total amount of damage is estimated at 83.7 million rubles.
The suspect pleads not guilty.
On February 20, law enforcement agencies reported that Alexander Tararykin, head of the Department for Cossack Affairs, Military Affairs and work with pre-conscription youth in the Krasnodar Territory, was detained by FSB officers in the region. He is suspected of abuse of authority in the development of the budget allocated under the state program "Cossacks of Kuban". The damage to the budget is estimated at 15 million rubles.
