Explosions were heard in the eastern part of Tehran and on the territory of the island of Kish, located in the Persian Gulf. This was announced on Monday morning, March 2, by the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

"Explosions are now being heard in some areas of Tehran," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that the same situation is observed on the territory of the island of Kish. One explosion was recorded there.

On February 28, Israel and the United States launched a large-scale military operation in Iran called "Lion's Roar." In its course, they hit military installations in western Iran, the residence of the country's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as an elementary school in the city of Minab. Khamenei was killed in the attack, and Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Pakpour, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian army Abdolrahim Mousavi, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and Secretary of the Defense Council Ali Shamkhani were also eliminated.

In response, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4 and attacked American military bases in the Middle East, as well as Israeli cities. The UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and other Persian Gulf countries were affected by the Iranian attacks. On March 2, the Secretary General of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, said that Tehran does not intend to negotiate with Washington.
